The institution maintains at least one free public verification surface for every operating brand. The registry is, and will remain, free to query. No account is required. A lookup that returns nothing is itself a finding.
A record exists. The mark, the signer or supplier, the claim, and the date of attestation are returned. The record is the evidence; it is not a verdict.
No record matches the identifier. Either the identifier was entered incorrectly, the identifier was never issued, or the record once existed and has since been formally withdrawn. Withdrawn records remain visible as withdrawn; they do not disappear.
The lookup service is unavailable. The institution publishes the uptime record at /registries/uptime.
